This fabulous vintage sterling silver Navajo-made statement pendant showcases bold scale and classic Southwestern artistry. At the center is a large Royston turquoise stone, bezel set within a dramatic shadowbox setting that enhances the stone’s natural color and matrix. The design is richly accented with three three-dimensional leaves, substantial raindrops, and a double row of twist wire that frames the composition beautifully. The open-front loop functions as an enhancer and can accommodate beads up to 3 millimeters strung or be positioned between larger beads for a layered look. Unhallmarked, as is common with vintage Native American jewelry, this pendant has wonderful presence and is equally striking worn by men or women.
PLEASE NOTE: the 3mm sterling silver burnished beads by Marilyn Platero are NOT included in this purchase. In addition, there is a textured area on the stone near the bottom which is about 0.375" in diameter. In my opinion it looks like the texture was present in the stone when this piece of jewelry is made.
