This is an amazing vintage sterling silver Navajo-made statement necklace that beautifully blends traditional craftsmanship with historic Americana. The centerpiece is a bold sandcast silver naja featuring dramatic crescent-shaped stampings and a high-quality turquoise cabochon framed in twist wire. Each side of the necklace is adorned with three antique Morgan silver dollars—dated 1885, 1886, and 1890 on the left, and 1889, 1901, and 1883 on the right—bringing historic depth and texture to the design. The 14mm beads were each handmade from pairs of vintage Mercury dimes, adding further character and craftsmanship. The necklace is strung on foxtail chain and secured with a sturdy handmade hook and eye clasp. While the naja has a shepherd’s hook, the end has been soldered down so it currently cannot be removed. This piece was professionally restrung by a Navajo artist in Scottsdale, Arizona, and is not hallmarked, which is typical for vintage Native American jewelry.
