This wonderful vintage Navajo-made statement necklace is a striking and timeless example of classic Southwestern design. The necklace features ten elegant teardrop-shaped turquoise stations on each side, each adorned with individually bezel set brilliant blue turquoise cabochons that appear to be Kingman turquoise. The substantial open naja centerpiece is beautifully constructed with two carinated rows separated by a central row of twist wire, creating wonderful depth and texture. Matching turquoise stones accent the naja, including a graceful center dangle that adds movement and visual balance. Eight millimeter bench beads, fine chain stringing, and a traditional hook and double eye closure complete the design. Etched with a capital letter A on the back of one end of the naja, this necklace is a bold and highly collectible vintage piece with exceptional presence.
